Taking Small Steps

Raw cut from the laser. Lakes or rough terrain?

An update to what I have been working on, in my small business. I have run into an inventory problem. Because of the time it takes for the water effect to dry, lakes are very difficult to produce and I had to rush to get an order out. As a result I had to lower the inventory count and catch up.

I’m currently tackling this issue; stock should be back to a manageable amount. Because of this I have to release rough terrain instead of the forest like I intended.

Go Big or go Home

Currently I am staying with Battletech classic terrain and expanding my inventory in that niche before I tap into the general small scale wargame terrain. For those of you waiting on me to make 6-10mm terrain, it is coming. The formula to building 6-10mm terrain will be the same as the Battletech tiles I make, except the footprint will be an organic shape rather than hex tiles. They will be released soon and I can’t wait.

Provide the Plate

For Battletech I want to offer lakes, forests, rough terrain and maybe elevation. My only concern with elevation for Battletech is that I am not quite sure how to design this. I am the type of person that likes things to look aesthetically pleasing. The bigger issue with elevation in Battletech is that 3D printers are a thing and it’s just cheaper to print them than to create them by hand. Something to really think about.
