I want to share what I have made for Battletech classic. I have seen that HexTech has buildings and other tile terrain and they are great looking pieces for a very reasonable price. I want to talk about my rough terrain for this awesome game of Battletech.


These are my rough terrain tiles that I used small rocks, sand, 2 types of flock and mud effect to get this result. The mechs are able to stand on the tile fairly well even though they have a little tilt to them. I like it this way because it gives them a more immersive feel when playing on the table. Eventually I want to include structure and objects as rough terrain but the biggest challenge when working with these hex tiles is the obvious limitations.
Battling the scale issue and hex limitations makes these terrain designs a lot harder than most if not all other tabletop games. I do have an Etsy shop that I’m adding more terrain to. If you have some time come check it out here.
